2 inches of snow = overwhelming disaster.... seriously?

So, last Tuesday night the DC area got about 2.5 inches of snow and freezing rain... So schools were closed for 3 days (plus an early dismissal last Tuesday and no school today b/c of President's Day... yeah, that's six days in a row... I'm very jealous of my roomie.) and the roads to my office *still* have not been plowed. Seriously, Fairfax County... learn how to handle less than 3 inches of snow.... Syracuse, NY figured out how to do it. One of its suburbs received 10 *feet* of snow, and schools were still open!

I mean, it just takes a little planning... and some plows... and some salt trucks. But that's about it... The county should not shut down for 2.5 measly inches of snow.

Seriously.

On the plus side, temps are finally above freezing, so hopefully the roads to my office will be clean in a day or two...

SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In contrast, it's 73 degrees here, and GORGEOUS (imagine me singing that like a very flamboyant 50-ish male cabaret singer). So get your ass over here before it freezes off!

Peace,
Kate
