Okay, lots of stuff to write about.
First, I had a tot fab time in Pgh two weeks ago. I got to see a) Mal's play b) buggy (and all the buggy folks. Hi buggy folks!) and c) HP4!!!!!!!!
Mal's play was wonderful... and all the Zetas who contributed to keeping me up until 3:30am were wonderful too. :)
HP4 was absolutely amazing! For starters, it doesn't hurt to go see an awesome movie with a stomach full of Pamela's.... *drool* It also doesn't hurt to see it with three of your favorite people (Mal, J'mee and Carly). Hearts to Jamie's borderline pedophilia with regards to Daniel Radcliffe, Mal's obsession with MuggleNet.com, and Carly's laugh. All in all, amazing!
Unfortunately, a PiKA driver got into an accident on Saturday so I didn't see rolls that morning. But I did get up for Mini-Raceday on Sunday. It was really hard to let the committee make decisions without speaking up and giving my opinion, but I managed. Also, they let me keep track of the times. I <3 buggy. I'm not entirely sure how I managed to wake up that early for 4 years, but I guess I'm just a rock star like that (btw, "rock star" is my current word obsession). Anyway, it was a beautiful buggy morning and it went by way too fast.
Skip ahead a few days....
Thanksgiving was okay. It was nice to have a few days off of work, but sleeping in my old twin bed was really strange. I went to a party with Alicia on Saturday and saw a bunch of people of high school that I hadn't seen since graduation. I also found out that a former friend (turned mortal enemy... okay, not quite that bad... but close) has gained *a lot* of weight since high school. Perhaps it makes me a bad person, but I'm really happy about that. :) I had lunch with Kristin on Sunday and we both enjoyed the news about L's weight gain. teehee... We also went to see Rent which was AMAZING! Oh man... this needs a new paragraph...
So, I saw Rent on Broadway six (6!!!!) years ago and loved it! The music is undeniably amazing and the story is so powerful. I wasn't sure how the energy of the musical would transfer to the screen, but I was excited about it. I was not disappointed. Jesse L. Martin was a force of nature and Tracie Thoms' voice blew me away. It was just incredible. I am totally going to buy the DVD when it comes out. Go see it! Right now! What are you waiting for?!!!!!!
Okay... thanks for putting up with this slightly ADD post.

A Good Day
Today was a good day. Here's why:
In other news, Stevie Wonder rocks my world!
- I work my new purple sweater... it put me in a good mood
- I got some very troublesome code to work properly
- I had a really good workout at the gym
- I found my Sweepstakes notebook
- I was able to cheer up my Big by promising to kick Studio's butt
- Lorelai and Rory reconciled on Gilmore Girls. :)

Thank goodness!
Congress finally dislodged their heads from their butts. My faith in Congress is restored (for the time being). Seriously folks... It's a NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE! The Caribou (and the eagles, ducks, squirrels, bears, and sheep) are safe for another day.

Drills, E-mail quotas and Michelle Pfeiffer
So lately there's been all of this construction going on around my office. Drills, hammers, spackle, etct. Noise, noise, noise... and lots of mess and rediculousness. Yesterday, they decided to take apart the dining area next to my office. So all afternoon I got to listen to drills and stuff being thrown in a dumpster-type thing. It was like being on Midway during build week or teardown. Not exactly ideal conditions for working or concentration. :(
And on top of the construction, the powers that be at work decided that yesterday was a good day to migrate everyone to a different e-mail server or something... Of course, it didn't work and the Help Desk was swamped with calls. I got my e-mail working after about 3 hours. But this morning, all of a sudden, I'm over my e-mail quota and I can't send any e-mail. This is not cool. So I spent 10 minutes on the phone with a real idiot at the Help Desk.
Help Desk: What's your employee number?
Me: 32732.
HD: 02732?
Me: No, 32732.
HD (with an attitude): That's what I said.
Me: No, 3-2-7-3-2.
HD: Huh?
Me: The first digit is one more than 2 and one less than 4.
HD: Oh. 32732.
Me: Yes.
HD: Okay, and how do you spell your last name?
Me: P-L-A-Y-E-R, like baseball player.
HD: P-Y-???
Me: No, P-L-A-Y-E-R, like baseball player.
HD: What?
Me: P-L-A-Y-E-R, like baseball player.
HD: Oh, okay.
I'm not exaggerating. So, I spoke with him 30 minutes ago and he said that someone would call me back. Meanwhile, I can't send any e-mail which is especially inconvient when you're an IT consultant and your managers don't work in the same state as you.
So, all of that stuff is crappy.... But there is some good news! Mal is coming to DC in February to work on a movie starting Michelle Pfeiffer and she (Mal) is staying with me!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *happy dance* I am so excited. The plan is for me to fly to Pgh for her show around Feb. 9, and then she and I will drive back to DC. Mal's only going to be here for a week or so, but that's still totally kick ass. yay!!!!!!!!
.... I wish the Help Desk would call me. :(

Did you miss me?
What a crazy two weeks it's been since I last posted. And now you're going to have to put up with a long post.
First, I wish that all of the clocks in my life were connected to some satellite or computer or whatnot so that they would automatically fall back or spring forward for Daylight Savings. I awoke at 9am Sunday morning, and walked out to my living room only to discover that it was actually 8am (I forgot to reset my bedroom clock, and my cable box updated automatically). So, I grumbled to myself for a bit, and then got over it and went to the gym. When I got into my car I was all confused b/c I hadn't reset that clock either. So I reset it. Then I got to the gym and the clock in the Locker Room was wrong... but the clock by the Pull Down machine was right... Ugh... poor brain.
On Monday I woke up and totally thought that I'd slept through my alarm b/c it was light outside. Then I looked at my clock and saw that it was 6:57 (3 minutes before my alarm was set to go off). Poor brain... Then I left work at 7pm and it was totally dark out.
Speaking of leaving work at 7pm, I did that both Monday and Tuesday. Yuck. (Btw, I don't know what's more pathetic: leaving work at 7pm two days in a row or the fact that there were at least a dozen other cars still in the garage when I left on Tuesday). Anyway, as a result of all of the that time in front of my laptop, I developed a migraine around 11am on Wednesday... so I tried to finish up what I was doing as fast as possible (while still doing a good job). That took until 3pm. Then I went home and tried to hide from the light underneath my comforter. I woke up at some point, ate some dinner and watched the West Wing. Life was better.
And today life is grand b/c the Pash is coming to interview with CGI-AMS and she and I are going to dinner tonight w/ Trey and his parents, and then Harriet's gonna stay at my apartment and we're gonna have girl time. Yay!
Oh, almost forgot to write about Halloween. I didn't have a Halloween this year. Instead, I worked, and got home at 7:30pm and then did more work. Also, I bought a bunch of candy but I didn't get any trick-or-treaters... So now I have all this candy that I really don't want around when I'm trying to lose weight... Ugh... I just have to bring it to work and make my co-workers eat it all.... well, except for the Kit-kat bars... I'll keep those. :)

Sara
